I have always been into Jungle and Garage since I was a child, listening to Rinse FM and Kool FM regularly and recording Super Sunday on cassettes and listening to them in the playground at school. As like most people into the music/scene it was a matter of time before I started mixing.
I had my first go at mixing on my mates decks at 17 and after my first mix I knew this was what I wanted to do. For my 17th birthday I managed to get my first set of belt drive decks (TT-1800's Numark) - I was hooked, mixing all day and night. At 19 I then got my Technics and my first set came shortly after.
My first set was at Bar M in Chatham for a night called 'Bubbles'. I was then itching to play out at any opportunity. House parties, clubs and anywhere else I could set my decks up.
I was put in touch with Drama Mc by a mutual friend as I wanted to get on the radio to get my mixes listened to by more people and a different crowd.
Since then I became part of Dnb3flow and been resident at all of the events held over the years. As a result of a mixture of weekly radio and local sets, I also played sets for other successful promotions such as Pressure Front, Re-Load and Confuzion and also became a finalist in Eksmans Next Hype competition in 2014. Playing for Sticky @ Scala was also a great night and a personal highlight.
Fast forwarding to 2015 and Dnb3flow is going to be taking things to the next level and I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store......
